Abe’s sneaker addiction has been developing slowly for about a year or so… and I’m not mad because they’re little works of art and it makes him happy. These are the Unheardof x Adidas Rivalry Lo “Grandma’s Closet” Sneakers.
Also in the vlog — Thanksgiving with his family in Philadelphia!
🏨 We stayed at the Hyatt Centric Center City which was a really solid hotel (especially for the price) but something important you should know: around 4am every morning (except Thanksgiving day) you can hear garbage trucks unloading dumpsters for about half an hour. This (plus me needing a kitchen) is why we won’t be staying here again on our next visit.
🦃 Carversville Farm Foundation — such an incredible organization: “We raise organic produce, grassfed beef, and pastured eggs and poultry, and give it all away to Philadelphia-area soup kitchens and food pantries.”
🎤 Our family spent several hours on Turkey Day singing Karaoke (via the iPad on Apple Sing). Abe and I brought along this microphone and our 8-year-old nephew loved it so much, he’s getting one for Hannukah (shhhh).
📺 My Walmart Christmas ad has started running! Been keeping this under wraps because ya never know if commercials will actually air, but it came on during the Thanksgiving football game and my cousin Franny spotted my face immediately, even though I’m in it for only a few seconds.
👟 And to take it back to sneakers, I never thought my husband would have prettier shoes than me, but these Wool Runner Mizzles really have done me well in my travels. I’ve been eyeing some GORE-TEX Nikes though… please forgive me if this blog starts veering into sneakerhead territory…

BIG fan of the Pegasus GORE-TEX!!!!!
