It’s been a while (almost a year!) since I did a full makeup video. This past Sunday I had an audition and my very first Oscars party, so I brought the camera into my closet to show you how I’ve been prepping my face lately.
Products used:
Yensa Silky Creme Bronzer (gifted)
Maya Chia Highlight of the Day (gifted)
I wound up curling my hair a little more, adding texturizing spray, mascara, and took off the red lipstick for some more subdued lip gloss (so I could eat).
The Outfit
We were invited to the Godzilla Minus One x Past Lives screening/after party. As I mentioned before, this was my very first time attending an Oscars party where I wasn’t in my sweatpants eating chips/dip on a couch.
But I still knew I wanted to be pajama-level comfortable, so the week before, I went to Nordstrom and tried on a few mesh flats (which I’ve been obsessed with since last summer). Sadly, none of them were in my price range and all kinda hurt, and in a fit of desperation, I ordered a sparkly pair off Amazon. Lo and behold, they arrived Saturday evening — they were the most comfortable (and by far my favorite).
BTW my shoes were nothing compared to the Godzilla Minus One team’s (who won the Oscar)!
Still, it was a lot of sparkle (especially paired with this metallic bag, which unfortunately fell apart the same evening) so I wore it with a plain, navy AQ/AQ jumpsuit (that I’ve had pre-Fleabag — you can find similar styles on Poshmark).
It was cold so I wound up covered most of the evening — in a Rag and Bone wool shawl (similar, currently on sale) — but ya know, pictures!
