Below are some old photos of my parents. They came to the United States in 1968 and got married in 1970, after my mother graduated from Manhattan School of Music (she was an opera singer). Then, they moved to Wesleyan University, where my father got his PhD in Ethnomusicology.
This is the same school Abe and I met at (and revisited recently). The same hill where we shared our first kiss!







Even though I’m Gen X, this is truly the fashion I feel most aligned with.

This is incredible, Lynn. My dad came to America in 1976, and my mom, brother and I followed in 1977. We're from Taiwan too, so I feel like this could've been their experience too. Love the photos of your parents from that time.
