Gen x Taste is a lifestyle blog and newsletter for those who still don’t know what they want to be when they grow up (even if they’re over the age of 40).
Apparently mesh flats were the shoe of the summer, and I missed it. That said, they still appear to be on trend but I’m not about to spend $200-300 on something that might hurt my feet and feel dated by the time the weather warms up again next year.
Here is a screenshot of what I spent way too much time considering…
🥿 Margaux - The Pointe: These feel like the least likely to fall apart, maybe because of the reinforced heel/cap toe?
🩰 Loeffler Randall - Women's Leonie Embellished Ballet Flats: I have owned several Loeffler Randall shoes/bags (I actually knew the founder from post-college NYC days) and have consistently been happy with my purchases. These would be really good wedding shoes!
🪩 LE MONDE BERYL - Luna Mesh Ballerina Flats and Mary Janes: These are the ones I want the most (and are also the most expensive, of course).
