🪝 I did a little spring cleaning and re-organizing of all our closets. I put together this coat tree ($27, assembly was very easy), added a hat rack ($10) for all our baseball caps, and we assembled some shoe boxes ($39) for Abe’s ever-growing sneaker collection. Then I put all of our winter things into storage bags ($29).
🛒 Four Asian grocery items we always have in the fridge: Roasted Seaweed ($19), Kimchi (around $10-12 each), Fried Tofu ($4 — the only thing on this list that is not gluten-free because of the soy sauce) and Miso Easy paste (so much cheaper in-store than on Amazon — I mix it with Kimchi juice) — all bought from HMart, but links provided are for Amazon online options.
🦋 Butterfly in the Sky (now available to rent for $5) — My friend Deborah Lee Smith produced this documentary about Reading Rainbow (which premiered at Tribeca) and I had the chance to see it in theaters early. It’s really wonderful and inspiring. Even if you (like me) didn’t actually grow up watching the show on PBS — you will be a LeVar Burton fan for life.
☀️ This has been my go-to outfit lately. I feel so pretty and comfy in it! My favorite underwear company Neiwai gifted me with some new pj’s and as usual, they’re too cute to just wear to bed. I’ve been wearing this set constantly, all day and even outside in the world. As seen in this video: silk cotton pajama top and matching bottoms (both are $62.30 and final sale).
When I’m out in public, I put them on over their seamless shapewear shorts ($35 — note about them, below)/and the only bra I ever wear anymore — their Barely Zero bra ($39). FYI the pj’s do require handwashing but I just shove them in a $6 mesh lingerie bag, put them in the washing machine and hang to air dry. They seem to be fine (so far) and the waistband hasn’t lost its shape or anything.
Heads up — the shorts I’m wearing underneath are extremely comfortable but I wouldn’t exactly call them shapewear, which is how they’re advertised — the compression situation is very light. Don’t buy if you need a serious SPANX situation. I only need them to make me less self-conscious.
