Now that the weather is finally hot, I’ve been reaching for more matte makeup/powders instead of creams/sparkles. I’m also experimenting with re-purposing two products so I don’t have to throw them out.
In this video:
Sweed Miracle Powder in Golden Medium and Lash Lift Mascara that I have re-used as a liquid eyeliner (both gifted)
Clairol Root Touch Up Powder (for hair, in Medium Brown) re-used as an eyebrow powder
SeneGence Translucent Loose Powder in Silver Rose
Queen Musia Matte Creme Lipstick in Ada and Mascara 2053 (both gifted)
Byredo Lipstick in Red Armchair

Not in this video but worth mentioning:
🖌️ I got this new eyeliner brush because it was too hard to use the other one in the video (which was actually an eyebrow brush). I love that it’s smaller and angled, which makes application a lot easier.
🤨 I do like the matte eyebrow look, but read some great reviews of Benefit’s Precisely, My Brow Tinted Wax. I love it so much more than any other pencil, powder or brow gel I’ve ever used — it holds everything in place and actually fills in the sparse areas, rather than just smoothing over them. Also, coming very soon — a mini-episode of the podcast all about brows!
😱 Etude’s Dr. Mascara Fixer for Perfect Lash is a $7 Korean lash primer that magically works to keep my straight Asian lashes curled if I apply it after curling with an eyelash, before mascara. I use the clear version, which is also the cheapest and use it with one coat of ILIA’s Limitless mascara (one of my favorites) followed by a second application of the Queen Musia one from the video. Then, I look at myself in the mirror, and it’s like WOW. Just, like, LASHES. ALL. DAY. I feel like when Bugs Bunny gets dressed up as a girl bunny. Like, is that really me?
