New Make-Up + Double Duty Products

Plus, a Matte Look Video

Now that the weather is finally hot, I’ve been reaching for more matte makeup/powders instead of creams/sparkles. I’m also experimenting with re-purposing two products so I don’t have to throw them out.

In this video:

(From L-R) finished matte makeup look, new brow fave, my latest lash obsession

Not in this video but worth mentioning:

🖌️ I got this new eyeliner brush because it was too hard to use the other one in the video (which was actually an eyebrow brush). I love that it’s smaller and angled, which makes application a lot easier.

🤨 I do like the matte eyebrow look, but read some great reviews of Benefit’s Precisely, My Brow Tinted Wax. I love it so much more than any other pencil, powder or brow gel I’ve ever used — it holds everything in place and actually fills in the sparse areas, rather than just smoothing over them. Also, coming very soon — a mini-episode of the podcast all about brows!

😱 Etude’s Dr. Mascara Fixer for Perfect Lash is a $7 Korean lash primer that magically works to keep my straight Asian lashes curled if I apply it after curling with an eyelash, before mascara. I use the clear version, which is also the cheapest and use it with one coat of ILIA’s Limitless mascara (one of my favorites) followed by a second application of the Queen Musia one from the video. Then, I look at myself in the mirror, and it’s like WOW. Just, like, LASHES. ALL. DAY. I feel like when Bugs Bunny gets dressed up as a girl bunny. Like, is that really me?
