I have been meaning to write this post a while; since before Amazon Prime Day back in October. I kinda went nuts this year on the site and had so much I wanted to share in a thoughtful, cohesive manner, but then life got in the way and now I just have this random list on the Notes app of my phone. It overwhelms me every time I open it. So I thought I’d just import it all here and finally do one big post, of all the things I’ve been meaning to/wanting to share with all of you for months.
Some of these would make great holiday gifts, or stocking stuffers.1 Some will just make your life easier. Some you definitely don’t have to buy on Amazon, and I want to acknowledge that there’s a lot of you who choose not to.

FASHION
Two years ago I was very embarrassed to admit I had bought clothing on Amazon. But I have gotten SO MANY COMPLIMENTS on a lot of these pieces, and they’ve actually held up really well. So now, I admit, “It’s from Amazon” when I’m asked. To which people always respond: “TEXT ME THE LINK!” Hence, the title of this post. Shop all my Fashion Finds here.
Double Breasted Wool Coat — I had some time to kill before a movie at The Grove a few weeks ago and wandered into Aritzia to try basically every coat they had. I fell in love with all of them, and promised myself if/when I land a full-time job I’d buy myself one as a reward. (Or on Black Friday, whichever came first.) Then, this Amazon coat for less than $50 popped up on my radar. I figured I’d buy it and return it, but then I fell madly in love. It requires a little bit of steaming (I love this little steamer) when you first get it, but the quality is pretty great.
Fleece-lined Denim Coat — I’ve had this for a while and every single time I wear it, somebody asks me about it. In fact, I had it on when I went into Aritzia (see above) and the salesperson there dug it. It’s warm, cozy and goes with absolutely everything.
Pillow Slippers and Birk Boston Clog Dupes — These are the bouncy cushioned slippers I'm wearing in almost every selfie I take, because I wear them constantly indoors. They are so comfy and the pop of red never fails to bring me joy. In the fall I switched over to these clogs but I wound up loving them so much I now wear them outdoors, instead.
New Balance Moc Slipper — These are my husband Abe’s indoor shoes! He loves them and I love that he looks like a cool astronaut about to go to bed whenever he walks around the house. Sidebar, Abe’s documentary Brother Orange just got an announcement in Variety this past week — it will stream next year so you’ll definitely be hearing more about this from me. He’s been working on it for a decade and I really couldn’t be prouder.
Floral Waffle PJ Set — I own these in several colors but this pattern is my favorite because I feel like I’m in a YM photo shoot whenever I wear it all day, especially paired with a big cozy sweater.
Oversized Cardigan — Speaking of which, I cannot believe how often I reach for this OVER my the Jenni Kayne cashmere cocoon one. I adore the JK version (which is also about 10x the price of this one) but I’m always afraid I’ll get it dirty because I’m constantly eating kimchi and turmeric oatmeal.
HOME
Grid/Windowpane Duvet Cover and sheets — These are from two different companies but they go together well. Both are very soft and I really, really love how 80’s they look. (FYI I’m switching over to flannel for winter).
Midcentury Nightstand — I wanted something with drawers that wasn’t too expensive (this is under $150) and would be easy to put together. You literally screw the legs on and you’re done.
Dyson Cordless Vacuum — I held on for dear life to my plug-in Dyson for years, even having it repaired twice. But the time came to replace it, and luckily for me, it was right before Amazon Prime Day, when I scored the Dyson v8 for $300. I couldn’t be more thrilled with its freedom, flexibility, power, and ease — also, am happy to report that you don’t need to mount it to a dedicated wall to charge it. We plug it in from a regular outlet overnight and store the attachments elsewhere.
Ninja Creami — if you follow me on IG you have seen how much I’ve posted about this machine since I got it. Maybe it wasn’t the wisest to get one right before the weather turned cold, because I am literally chilled to the bone whenever I eat one. But as someone who still spends a lot of money on Halo Top and enjoys eating an entire pint of “ice cream” as a meal, this has changed my life!!!
Yamazaki Soap Tray — This thing is perfect. No slime. Washes off easily. $8.
Coco Smart Floss — Okay it’s crazy that this floss costs more than the above soap tray but this stuff really is superior to any other dental floss I’ve ever tried. It’s also made from recycled water bottles and is AAPI/women founded!
Can Crusher — Abe was shocked when he came home and I had installed this monster truck of an… appliance?… to our kitchen wall. But listen, I drink a lot of diet soda and every time I smush an aluminum can down I feel slightly less guilty about what I’m doing to the planet/my body.
Wooden Spurtles and Cutting Board Wax — I really dislike silicone utensils in the kitchen because they always get sticky after a year or so. I enjoy the unique shape of these, but the wood does dry out so I’ve been rubbing them with mineral oil that comes in wax form, which is a lot less messy.
Appliance Sliders — Very few people would find these in their stocking and be like, “AWESOME” but honestly if someone put these little buttons all over the bottom of all your appliances (as I did) and you woke up to them gliding around the counters like butter, you’d think it was a Christmas miracle.
Swedish Dish Towels — I’ve been using reusable cloths for years until they decompose and decided I wanted one with a really cute and fun pattern to look at. These remind me of one of my all-time favorites, Untitled Goose Game!
Lazy Susan for Fridge — Are we really so lazy we can’t reach into the back of the fridge to pull out a jar of pickles? Yes, we absolutely are.
Tangerine Hand and Body Wash — Look, every IG worthy bathroom in LA has a bottle of AESOP or Compagnie de Provence Savon de Marseille at the sink. I don’t want to be like everyone else, nor do I want to spend those prices! This Korean version (also a body wash) is bright orange so it feels unique and I like that it doesn’t pump out too much product.
RANDOM RANDOM RANDOM
Chom Chom Roller Mini for Pet Hair — Truly nothing works better than those roller/tape thingies when you’re covered in lint/hair but this works pretty well for something that will never need to be re-filled.
Slice Safety Cutter — Ummmmm…. as evidenced by this post, I get a lot of Amazon packages. This breaks down boxes fast without a scary blade.
Oomph! Low Sugar PB Taffy — As anybody who has listened to my old podcast knows, I enjoy a piece of candy after every single meal. Usually it’s a ginger chew, but once a day I do indulge in something like a Reisen or a Werther’s. Lately I’ve switched over to these keto-taffy candies instead, and I like them so much I subscribe to have them delivered monthly.
Small Water Bottle — I have owned a giant Stanley for years (so does Abe) and we both love how much water it makes us drink, but this pretty little stainless steel thermos is just the right size for when I want a sip or two while I’m out. Also, it doesn’t leak in my bag.
Headache Relief Cap — I don’t know how this would work on migraines (which is what it’s marketed for) but this definitely delivers whenever Advil isn’t cutting it for me. I store it in the freezer and I find it is waaaaay too cold directly on my head; but over a scarf or a dishtowel, it’s magical.
Purse/Bag Hanger — I admit I don’t always remember to use this when I’m out at restaurants (probably because I’m rarely eating out these days). But when I do remember, it is a really easy way to make sure my bag stays off the floor or doesn’t fall off the back of my chair.
Ha ha ha I just re-read this post and was like, “This is definitely the weirdest gift guide ever.”
“Weirdest gift guide ever”? Maybe. My FAVORITE gift guide ever? Definitely.
Thank you for this treasure trove of links! I clicked on so many!
Weird, but genius?! I also love my Ninja Creami and am ordering that water bottle asap.
