*HEADS UP: The Seconds Sale ends on Sunday, July 6th but you can use my discount code LYNN15 on all items for future purchases. East Fork is gifting me with store credit for this post, but I genuinely love and adore this brand. I also use affiliate links, at no extra cost to you. Thanks for your support.
There are a whole bunch of sales happening right now, but none are as important to me as the East Fork Summer Seconds Sale. I have not been shy about voicing my love for their pottery throughout the years — witness the various stages of my blogging life!

It all started with “The Mug,” which I spoke more about in this video from Vlogmas 2024.
Throughout the years, I have also added their plates and bowls to my collection. I use their Soup and Everyday bowls daily. It’s also my go-to present for loved ones (or for myself to celebrate special occasions). Every person I’ve sent an East Fork piece to has raved that it’s their favorite, too.
Shipping such heavy stuff costs a bit, so that’s why I wait for in-person or online sales to shop. I often purchase from the Seconds Sale which is heavily discounted (30-40%) on pieces that have “minor aesthetic imperfections — maybe a wonky glaze or tiny dent” (I honestly cannot tell the difference; I’ve bought both new and “imperfect”) but are still 100% functional and food-safe. The Seconds Sales are particularly rare — they usually happen sporadically, at pop-up events in different cities and online. I have been waiting over a year with hopeful, bated breath for one to launch in Los Angeles, or on their site.
That’s why when East Fork contacted me to let me know this online sale was happening AND offered me credit to shop it*, I couldn’t believe my luck. Did I manifest this by obsessing over their IG feed for the last few months? The sale just went live to the public and I suggest hopping on ASAP to grab your preferred color — some of which are seasonal or retired. Since I started writing this post, a few of the glazes have already sold out!
Here’s what I ordered from the sale:
Soup Bowl in Daylily — I have oatmeal every morning in this (and of course soup when I do make it). I’ve been wanting to get this orange hue for Abe since his documentary came out!
Small Mug in Gum Drop (color sold out!) — This is smaller than the mugs I already have — they’re also selling bigger sizes too. I drink a small cup of miso soup with kimchi daily and this is the perfect size for that snack. The Gum Drop glaze is more glossy than all the other pieces I have; I’m excited to see/experience it in person!
Side Plate 4-Pack in La Sirène — This is a limited color and probably my favorite. It’s a nod to the iconic blue color used often by Henri Matisse (East Fork founder Alex Matisse is his great-grandson). They have an entire Matisse Collection I would love to own.
Everyday Bowls in Wine Dark Sea, Prune, and Molasses (color sold out!) — I already have one in Amaro and so I wanted to have a rainbow of options. These are ideal for pastas or stews or anything else that’s too saucy for a regular dinner plate (yup, those are on sale too). My food feels so secure in this bowl whenever I eat on the couch. Which is, well, every day.
I recommend their Coupe, Weeknight Serving Bowl, or Oval Platter if you like to entertain. They’re the perfect pretty, sturdy vessel to pass around the table. They also have smaller bowls, plates and cups for kids, and I can attest that they’re strong/solid. Of course, if you don’t know where to start, I suggest a 4-pack of their classic mug.
Finally, I just love East Fork as a company: they’re B Corp Certified, committed to paying living wages, reducing waste, and supporting grassroots organizations around Asheville, NC, where they’re based (1% of all sales go directly to them).
I’m so so so grateful for this opportunity to share this sale with you and introduce East Fork to anyone who doesn’t already know about them. Their pottery truly brings me SO MUCH joy, from my first cup of coffee to my last bowls of cereal.1
Yes, plural — I eat 3-4 bowls of dry puffed corn cereal before bed.
